{"id":1247,"date":"2024-11-13T13:01:11","date_gmt":"2024-11-13T14:01:11","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/buckinghamshire-removals.co.uk\/?p=1247"},"modified":"2024-11-14T14:20:42","modified_gmt":"2024-11-14T14:20:42","slug":"ex-ngcb-department-head-denies-boards-request-to-dismiss-racial-discrimination-suit","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/buckinghamshire-removals.co.uk\/index.php\/2024\/11\/13\/ex-ngcb-department-head-denies-boards-request-to-dismiss-racial-discrimination-suit\/","title":{"rendered":"Ex-NGCB Department Head Denies Board\u2019s Request to Dismiss Racial Discrimination Suit"},"content":{"rendered":"<div style=\"margin-top: 0px;margin-bottom: 0px\" class=\"sharethis-inline-share-buttons\"><\/div>\n<p>Jaime Black, who joined the Nevada Gaming Control Board in 2014 and became the head of its Administration Division in June 2017, has thwarted her former employer\u2019s bid to dismiss a racial discrimination lawsuit.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote\">\n<p>dubbing Black\u2019s claims \u201cbaseless\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>According to the <em>Las Vegas Review-Journal<\/em>, Black <a href=\"https:\/\/www.reviewjournal.com\/news\/politics-and-government\/nevada\/discrimination-suit-against-nevada-gaming-agency-can-go-forward-attorney-says-3210637\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">filed the lawsuit against NGCB board member Brittnie Watkins<\/a> in September. The NGCB then submitted a motion to dismiss the case in October to the Nevada Attorney General\u2019s office, which is representing the Board, dubbing Black\u2019s claims \u201cbaseless.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>On Thursday, however, Black\u2019s attorney Mark Mausert filed a motion in Las Vegas\u2019s US District Court accompanied by a 24-page response arguing there was sufficient evidence to back claims that Watkins discriminated against Black.
